Terms of Service

1. The Service

SiteForge provides professional static website design services for local service businesses for a one-time fee of $497.

The service includes:

• Design and development of a basic business website
• Up to 5 standard pages (Home, Services, About, Contact, and one additional page)
• Mobile-friendly responsive layout
• Basic contact form integration

Custom features, advanced integrations, or additional pages may require a separate quote.

2. Payment

• 50% payment upfront to begin the project
• 50% payment due upon client approval of the finished website
• Payments are processed securely via Stripe
• Work will not begin until the initial payment has been received
• Failure to complete the final payment may result in withholding delivery of the final website files

3. Client Responsibilities

To begin the project, the client must provide: business information, service descriptions, contact details, and logos or images if available.

Delays in providing required information may delay project delivery.

4. Delivery

Estimated delivery time is 3–5 business days after all required client information and materials have been received. Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary depending on the availability of required materials from the client.

5. Revisions

Each project includes two rounds of revisions at no additional cost. A revision round includes reasonable adjustments to text, layout, or images. Additional revisions may be available for a flat fee. Major structural changes or additional features may require a separate quote.

6. Ownership

Upon full and final payment, the client receives full ownership of the website files. SiteForge retains no ownership rights over the delivered website. SiteForge may display non-confidential portions of the work in its portfolio unless otherwise requested by the client.

7. Refund Policy

• Full refund if work has not yet started
• 50% refund if requested within 48 hours of delivery
• No refunds after the client approves the final version

Because digital services require time and labor, refunds may not be granted once development work has substantially begun.

8. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Clients agree to contact SiteForge directly at hello@siteforgeonline.com to resolve any concerns before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback. Submitting a chargeback after the project has been delivered or approved may be considered a violation of these terms. SiteForge reserves the right to provide project records, communication history, and delivery evidence to Stripe or payment processors in the event of a dispute.

9. Hosting

SiteForge does not include hosting in the standard $497 package. Clients may choose their own hosting provider. An optional Website Care Plan ($49/month) may be available and may include hosting, maintenance, and support.

10. Limitation of Liability

SiteForge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to: lost revenue, lost business opportunities, downtime caused by hosting providers, or technical issues outside SiteForge's control. SiteForge's total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the project.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable laws. Both parties agree to attempt resolving disputes via email communication before pursuing legal action. Contact: hello@siteforgeonline.com

12. Abandoned Projects

If the client becomes unresponsive for more than 14 consecutive days, the project may be considered abandoned and SiteForge may close the project. Payments already made are non-refundable. A restart fee may apply if the client wishes to resume. SiteForge will make reasonable attempts to contact the client before marking a project as abandoned.

13. Client Content Responsibility

The client is responsible for all content provided, including text, images, logos, trademarks, and business information. The client confirms they have the legal right to use any content they provide. SiteForge is not responsible for verifying ownership or licensing of client-supplied materials. The client agrees to indemnify SiteForge from any claims arising from content they provided.

14. Scope of Work Limitations

The $497 package includes only the services described in Section 1. Additional features, pages, or integrations not in the original scope may require an additional fee. Examples include: additional pages, advanced functionality, complex design changes, and additional content writing or image sourcing.

15. No SEO or Performance Guarantees

SiteForge provides website design and development services only. While websites are built following common best practices for usability and basic technical structure, SiteForge does not guarantee:

• Search engine rankings
• Website traffic
• Lead generation
• Business results or revenue

Search engine performance depends on many factors outside SiteForge's control, including search engine algorithms, competition in the client's market, client-provided content, and marketing efforts outside the website.

Unless explicitly agreed in writing, SEO services, marketing services, and advertising services are not included in the standard website package.
